This week I wanted to experiment
with things I haven’t done before and stuff I haven’t used.
The first idea was to make
a pendent which looks like peas in a pod.
I have seen this done a few times before and wanted to give it a go. It
only took a couple of tries to get the result I was looking for and I am so
happy with the results.
The second project was to
wrap a cabochon using pre made gallery wire.
This is fancy cut flat wire which is used to wrap around the edge of the
stone for an interesting finish. I chose
a Bumble Bee jasper because I love the layers of colour and they are not very
well known. I think it looks great but,
having used the gallery wire, I now believe I could make a better finish next
time.
