Ear Rings

 Hi Everyone

I spent time this last week making earrings.  Most started out as experiments and, after a few false turns, I think they have turned out great.

The first was finding some 3mm gems in an old necklace that have become large hoop ear rings. Next I came across some 925 SS gem headpins which, with very little effort, became stud ear rings with 925 SS butterfly backs - number two!  Lastly, I was looking through Pinterest and seeing a lot of stacked jewellery and really liking it, so this is my take on it and I love it.  I used orange Chalcedony, Citrine, Peridot and Garnet - so pretty, but it took a bit of time to get the results I was after.

Do let me know what you think and what you are making to pass the time while house bound.

Shape and Colour

 Good morning

Sometimes it is simply the beauty of shape and colour which makes something stand out, and that is what this week’s make is for me. I used some dyed magnesite cubes in three colours: light blue, dark blue and purple with gold spacers and that was all I needed for this easy to wear, but impactful, jewellery.

I think sums it up for me but do let me know what you think and what you are making to pass the time while house bound.

New Years Eve Glamor

 Hello

For New Year I made this necklace and ear ring set, which is everything you need to have a glamorous evening of fun.  They are dark grey baroque drop shell pearl with Citrine, Blue Fluorite and Garnet, on a long 30” silver chain.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think and what you are making to pass the time while house bound.

Bright is Best

Hi, Happy New Year

I hope that you all have had a happy and healthy holiday season and that, very soon, 2021 will be a calmer place to be.

Over the break I have been having a clear up of my work space and I am slowly (very slowly!) working my way through my partly finished projects and, while satisfying at the moment, I am sure this will pass!

This week I have made a suite of bright and sunny jewellery - made from yellow coated quartz with grey dyed druzy quartz. They are bold, fun and never cease to make me smile.

It would be great to hear what you have been making.
