Fairies in Bottles

Hi Everyone

I know that it’s a bit early but this week my mind has been heading into spring. I’ve discovered some patterns for ‘Fairies in bottles’ and I just couldn’t resist them. The designs are from Carina Gardner and they are fun to make - if a little tricky.  I have finished them in pink and blue and I just love them.

Let me know what you think and what you have been making.

Chunky Woollen Necklaces

Good Morning Everyone

As it is still very much jumper weather, I have been making a couple of neck pieces to wear with my chunky woollens.

The first is fun and bright and made up of five strands of turquoise and clear seed beads which are both silver lined (so lots of sparkle) and I have added white quartz drusy in a triangle shape that has been electro plated on the edges in gold.

The second piece is a doughnut mookite which I have suspended on gold plated chain with a tassel on the bottom. I love the simplicity of this necklace and the colours are so earthy.

Please remember to keep in touch and let me know what you think of my work and what you have been making too.

Keeping Track of Memories

Good Morning

This week I have made some Memory Books to help record those memories that are both planned, and just happen during the coming year.  Of all the things that we do some just scream to be recorded and looked at from time to time.

I hope that you are staying warm and dry during these winter months and, of course, that means inside time to make lots of fun craft; enjoy whatever you are doing.

New Year Crafty Fun

Happy New Year Everyone

Can you believe that it is already the second week in 2018 and, boy, have we had a changing face to the weather so far this year!

Well, during the break I managed to find time to make this mega bling necklace for New Year’s Eve.  It is made from gold, silver and rose colour coated quartz on rose plated aluminium chain. It moves as you do and makes the most fun tinkling sound, just so fab.

My partner in crafty heaven also made a new piece of spanner art and it is so fun that it has already found a new home. The skull and cross spanners will age over time and become pitted and grimy - as all good pirate stuff should!

We both hope you have enjoyed your holidays and are looking forward to hearing what you have been making.
