Dream Catcher Necklace

Morning Everyone

This week I wanted to make something that felt soothing for the winter evenings, so I have made a Dream catcher necklace from a pendent I bought some time ago and I have used Zari Thread to weave through it and some carnelian drops for the bottom.  I think it is a simple design but it takes a surprisingly long time to weave the thread while keeping it flat.

I hope you have enjoyed January and don’t forget to let me know what you think and what you are up to.

Birthday Cupcake

Good morning

This weekend was my good friend Lou’s birthday so I have made her a card and a cupcake, and not just any cupcake but a chocolate butterfly cupcake! The cupcake, of course, needed an up-cycled pot to put it in so all is well with the world.

Simple things to make this week but fun nonetheless – it always helps when you have fun stuff going on outside the workroom.

Let me know what you think and what you are up to.

First Cards for 2017

Morning All

And so ends another busy week with not much time for crafting, so only a couple of cards to show you.  I had a friend at work taking a year out to travel so I made an A4 card for everyone to sign.  It was harder than I thought - ensuring that there was lots of space for all the good wishes.

I also have a friend having a birthday this week so I made a card I hope they will like, and that always takes a little time.

I hope you all have a good week, so let me know what you think and what you are up to.

Shell Bib Necklace

Morning everyone and a Happy New Year

Well, I imagine that some of you might have noticed I didn’t post last week. I’m afraid to say that I was just having such a great time over the New Year, I simply forgot to post a blog! I do hope you all have had a great holiday season.

This week I have made a really beautiful piece from shell and small nugget flowers on a frame of plated antique bronze wire. This bib style necklace is the first I have tried in this format and I am very pleased with the results, I hope you like it too.

Let me know what you have been making over the holiday season and, of course, it is always good to hear from you.
