I have been
working on a commission for a friend over the last couple of weeks and this
week I finished and delivered it. The brief was to make a big pearl statement
necklace in the style of Vivian Westwood.
So, I used 20mm
round shell pearls as the base and added 12mm shell pearls to complete the
neckline, then also made a beady bead from the 12mm shell peals in the
centre. Next, I added a further beady
bead made from 6mm shell pearls, then wrapped both beady beads in gold coloured
wire and then dropped three gold plated sterling silver skulls from the bottom -
it was complete.
I love this
necklace, and so does my friend, and we would love to hear what you think about
it.
