Over the past
week I have been thinking about alternative ways to set cabochons. After looking at what felt like hundreds of
pictures, in lots of different mediums, I found the following two which I think
have turned out rather well.
The first is a red
dyed onyx piece which I have captured in gold plated copper wire. I am very
pleased with the results, it shows off the stone well and the back is very
different and fun. The second is also onyx, this one is dyed purple, and is
hanging from a purple wire spiral with a purple and black kumihimo braid.
It would be
great to hear from you about either what you are making or what you think of my
makes.
